The following events have been canceled or postponed due to the expected snowstorm this weekend.

  • Garth Brooks concert: Brooks' Friday and Saturday shows at Royal Farms Arena in Baltimore have been postponed until 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. Jan. 31. All tickets purchased for the Friday and Saturday shows will be honored for the new date and times.
  • Cabaret for a Cure: Penn State York Benefiting THON's Cabaret for a Cure, a variety show scheduled for 7 p.m. Friday, has been rescheduled for Friday, Jan. 29 at the Pullo Center.Tickets already purchased for the show will be honored.
  • "Into The Wild": The first movie screening as part of the Capitol Theatre's new film series, scheduled for 7 p.m. Saturday, has been rescheduled for 7 p.m. Saturday, April 9. Any previously purchased tickets will be honored on the new date.
  • Garlic Poet Beer Dinner: Saturday's Garlic Poet Beer Dinner with Liquid Hero Brewery has been canceled, according to a Facebook post. 
  • York Symphony Orchestra: YSO's "A Stormy Night," scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Saturday at the Strand-Capitol Performing Arts Center, has been canceled. Full cash refunds will be mailed "as quickly as possible," according to a news release. Those wishing to donate the purchase amount of their tickets back to YSO can do so by using the return envelope provided with the mailed refund.
  • Royer's Kids Club: Saturday's Kids Club event has been moved to Jan. 30. Registration for those who reserved a spot at 10 a.m. or 2 p.m. will automatically move to Jan. 30, according to blog.royers.com. If you can't attend Jan, 30, call your local store to cancel your registration.
  • Tiny Tumblers: A gymnastics and aerobics class designed for preschoolers will be closed on Saturday, Jan. 23 due to the storm. 
  • Planetarium Shows: The York Learning Center planetarium programs originally scheduled for Jan. 23 have been canceled. The next program will be Feb. 20.
  • Pies in the Mennonite Tradition: The Lancaster Mennonite Historical Society has postponed its event featuring pies and crust-making demonstrations until 6 to 8:30 p.m. Saturday, March 12.
  • Sam Grow concert: Friday's show at Rams Head Live in Baltimore has been rescheduled to 7:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 5.
  • Rock N' Flow: A Yoga Class That Rocks: Saturday's pairing of yoga and music at Rams Head Live in Baltimore has been rescheduled for 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 12. All tickets for the original date will be honored.
  • Free drawing session: The Pennsylvania Arts Experience's free drawing session with Paul Kicklighter Saturday has been canceled.
  • York Social Dance lessons: Friday's lesson and dance have been canceled.
